Lyrics:
she’ll twine and she’ll mingle her waving black hair
With the roses so red and the lilies so fair
With miles so green like an emerald hew
The pale and the nature and voilet to blue

he promised to love her; he promised to love
to cherish her always, to others above.
she woke from her dream, and her idol was clay
her passion for loving had vanished away.

he taught her to love him; he called her his flower
A blossom to cheer him through life’s weary hour
though her heart now is breaking sha’ll never know
how his name makes her tremble, with pale cheeks to glow

she’ll dance and she’ll sing her life shall be gay
she’ll banih his weaping, drive troubles away
she’ll live yet to see him regret this dark hour
when we won and neglected this frail wildwood flower

OK, all you Jersey Shore lovers, where is the best place to stay in the Wildwood area?

Posted by admin on June 24th, 2010 and filed under wildwood | 2 Comments »

We have a family of 4 consisting of 2 adults a very young teen 13yrs and a 10yr old. We would like something with a kitchen or kitchenette, close to the beach, boardwalk and any other fun activities. This would be our first time visiting. Any really good recommendations?

Ocean Towers…..right on the boardwalk, right on the beach, has a great pool, a kitchen, more then enuff room for a family of 4!

Does anyone know of any hotels or motels in Wildwood, NJ I can rent being only 19?

Posted by admin on June 20th, 2010 and filed under wildwood | 2 Comments »

I am trying to getaway for my birthday weekend. It will be my 19th. I keep finding hotels saying you have to be 25 to get a reservation. Does anyone know of any that you can be at least 18 to get.

Not really, hotels don’t want to rent to "kids" because they have too many issues with them trashing the place. Same as rental car agency’s.

FWIW, Nikki’s wrong, there is no "age" limit to credit cards. You can be under 18 and still have a card. You only have to show that you have means to pay off the debt.

Who is the character on the cover of Wildwood Dancing?

Posted by admin on June 17th, 2010 and filed under wildwood | 1 Comment »

I thought it was Jena at first, but I think it might be Tati.
What’s on her shoulder; it can’t be Gogu b/c it’s not a frog. I think it is Jena though, b/c in the background there i a couple dancing and I think that’s Tati and Sorrow.

Jena would be my guess. I looked at the cover and checked out the characters on Wikipedia. Jena is the closest match.

What is traffic like on Interstate 75 in Florida (from Jennings to Wildwood) in March and the weather?

Posted by admin on June 15th, 2010 and filed under wildwood | 1 Comment »

I’m taking one of my best friends to Orlando/Tampa and I just need some quick information on what to expect as far as weather conditions and traffic when I travel on I-75. That way I can play ahead come March of next year.

Clear, but a chance of isolated trouble. For both the traffic and weather.

Wildwood Flower: Carter Family cover (LiliAna Rose)

Posted by admin on June 8th, 2010 and filed under wildwood | 25 Comments »

Buy an autographed CD or download Mp3s! http://www.listentoliliana.com/blog/store

The Carter Family classic. This video has two takes–the first, without the proper picking pattern (whoa alliteration), and the second, done “right.” I think the first version suits me better. What do you think?

Oh I’ll twine with my mingles and waving black hair
With the roses so red and the lilies so fair
And the mirtles so bright with the emerald dew
The pale and the leader and eyes look like blue

I will dance I will sing and my laugh shall be gay
I will charm every heart in each crown I will sway
When I woke from my dreaming my idols were clay
All portions of love had all blown away

Oh he taught me to love him and promised to love
And to cherish me over all others above
How my heart is now wondering no misery can tell
He’s left me no warning no words of farewell

Oh he taught me to love him and call me his flower
That was blooming to cheer him through life’s dreary hour
Oh I long to see him and regret the dark hour
He’s gone and neglected his pale wildwood flower
