How many foreclosed homes are in the possession of the government in California?

Posted by admin on June 27th, 2010 and filed under homes | 1 Comment »

I need to know the numerical figure of the number of foreclosed homes that the state of California now has possession of. It’s for a research project. Thank you!

Check pemco. The number will be around 30. It changes every Friday.

What kind of homes do burglars usually choose?

Posted by admin on June 24th, 2010 and filed under homes | 3 Comments »

I live in a studio apartment that is part of a big house in a so-so neighborhood, not really good or bad. All the apartments in the house are occupied by students and young professionals who are not rich. We’ve never been broken into, but I’m worried about it constantly.

What kind of homes do burglars usually pick? Why?

Burglars mostly do their runs in the daytime. Usually when you are at work. Some burglars really do not want to do harm, they just want your menchandise. I believe houses that look welcoming are the ones who get broken in to. Example, the front doors that have the glass windows. Burglars could easy take a glance in there to see what you have for them to steal. Also windows that do not have the bars and windows that the certains are see through. If burlars can see in your house and see that you have nice tvs and sterios, there are more likely to break into your house. If you are really worried about it, I would get an alarm system or if it is too expensive, I would get just a sign that says you have an alarm system…also you can get an indoor dog…therefore if a burglar were to ever try to get in and once he hears that dog, he will run away because of the dog constant barking…anywho, hope I helped! :)

How does one obtain information on homes that ARE NOT in foreclosure YET?

Meaning, I want to seek out homes/homeowners that may be in arrears with their property taxes and are at risk of losing their property because of the back taxes owed. Specifically, New Jersey homes?

county courthouse.. they list all houses that are in the beginning of foreclosure.. keep in mind though, that once put into foreclosure.. it takes maaaany months to actually be foreclosed on.

What are the homes built into a dirt hill called?

Posted by admin on June 17th, 2010 and filed under homes | 4 Comments »

I see homes that are built into the sides of a hill, covering anywheres from 1 to 3 sides of the house. The hill can sometimes go right up to the roof. I was wondering what those kind of houses are called.

Here is an easy to make, low cost laserbeam security system that beats anything I have ever seen!! My inspiration for this idea is from Brad Graham & Kathy McGowan of Atomic Zombie.

CAUTION!! Lasers can be dangerous! Do not point them at any living thing!

What happened to the homes of the Japanese who were relocated into internment camps during the 40s?

Posted by admin on June 15th, 2010 and filed under homes | 1 Comment »

I am aware that they had limited time to sell their property, often losing money, but there are a few cases where Japanese were immediately forced to relocate, causing them to abandon their homes. What i need to know is what happened to these homes, did the gov’t do anything with them? Where they given back after the camps were closed?

Japanese got nothing back. I saw a documentary on pbs on it. Many actually stayed in the camps cuz nowhere to go.
