Bay Area Beach Selection and Boogie Board Rental?

Posted by admin on June 27th, 2010 and filed under beach rental | 1 Comment »

I’m thinking about going to Ocean Beach in San Francisco since it seems to be the only beach around the area (I’m from San Jose). Is there any beaches around the area that might be closer? Also, I would like to look for a boogie board rental place. Any suggestions would be great.

How come you’re not going to Santa Cruz? If I was going to boogie, it’d be Santa Cruz and all those beaches up there. Especially if you’re not experienced! But there’s half moon bay, pacifica, where lots of surfers go, those beaches are closer than SF and on the way up there.

If you go to Santa Cruz, you can rent one here:

Take a trip from Santa Cruz and head up Highway One toward SF. There’s tons of beaches. Go with some buddies and make a weekend trip out of it. Hurry before summer is over! It’s starting to get cold!!!

Madeira Beach FL Condo Rental on the Gulf of Mexico

Wanted:
“Florida, Gulf Side, oceanfront, top floor southern exposure condo unit with all the amenities of home, 1,000 square feet, two bedrooms, beautifully decorated, John’s Pass facing balcony, outdoor pool… for an ideal beach vacation for a week or longer that won’t bust the piggy bank.” Sound unreasonable? Take a look at this Madeira Beach condominium rental in the short video that follows. You will find that the soft white sand of Madeira Beach is a quieter alternative to the area’s busier beaches, and that the beachfront Madeira Norte Condos provide the right accommodations, at the right location, for the right price so you can fully enjoy your well-deserved vacation holiday in the Florida Sun.

Bordered by the Gulf of Mexico to the west, and the intracoastal waterway and Boca Ciega Bay to the east, the seaside resort village of Madeira Beach has a charm all its own. One of the most popular draws here is the picturesque John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk, which features great seafood restaurants, fishing and sail boat charters, live entertainment and shopping – not to mention John’s Pass itself which is one of Florida’s most beautiful spots. Rusted tin roofs and weathered planks all contribute to a feeling of antiquity at this “turn-of-the-century fishing village” as does a 1,000 foot water hugging boardwalk. The bulk of the fishing fleet docks here to unload their catch, making good the nearby restaurant claims of the freshest fish and best chowder in the area. John’s Pass Seafood Festival, held here each October, is one of the Bay Area’s most anticipated events, and includes arts and crafts, fishing demonstrations and seminars, environmental exhibits, dancing, music and children’s activities.

A short walk across the John’s Pass Bridge is Treasure Island, which, along with Madeira Beach, is one of the crown jewels of Florida’s West Coast beaches. Treasure Island is packed with beach and water sport activities. Rich in both Indian and pirate history, Treasure Island possesses another of the Bay Area’s most celebrated soft sand beaches.

For the adventurous, fascinating day trips abound to destinations such as Downtown St. Petersburg, Walt Disney World in Orlando, Sea World, Universal Studios, Tampa Bay’s Busch Gardens, Shell Island, Tarpon Springs’ sponge divers and Greek cuisine, pro sports events (football, hockey, baseball), the Florida Aquarium, the John’s Pass Pirate Ship Adventure, world class golfing, dozens of nearby museums and art galleries.

So what are you waiting for? Whether you’re from the snowbelt, Toronto, or as far away as Lisboa, start planning your oceanside retreat dream vacation today!

Im vacationing to myrtle beach for a weekend, will I need a rental car? Also where is the best hotel to stay?

Posted by admin on June 15th, 2010 and filed under beach rental | 2 Comments »

I have never been to myrtle beach, and I dont mind taking cabs or buses but would it be cheaper to just get a rental car? I dont want to venture off the "boardwalk" much or leave the beach too often. What fun activities are there to do?

Rent a car, its cheaper than cabs. Broadway at the Beach is fun, Ripley’s aquariums is very cool ( the believe it or not museum is not). You might catch a Pelicans game (baseball), and the beach isn’t so bad either.
