Posted by admin on March 31st, 2010 and filed under wildwood | 1 Comment »

My family and I are going on vacation in Wildwood this weekend. I’m going to have my two best friends with me and we were planning on just wandering the boardwalk until whenever. Are there certain curfews to follow for minors?

Thanks!

ive been here all summer and there are no curfews
the rides close on the boardwalk at 1
but the boardwalk never really closes
you can wander all you want just dont be too noisy

What nursing homes petition its caregiver employees in San Francisco?

I’m a qualified caregiver looking for a nursing home where I can work and at the same time be petitioned by my employer.. Do you know any nursing homes here in San Francisco because I’m currently based here.

Thanks in advance, I greatly appreciate your help. Have a good day. Thanks again.

and this has what to do with immigration…..although San Francisco does appear sometimes to be another world unto itself, it is still part of the US

How many beach balls do you think will be thrown into Reina’s goalmouth on Sunday?

I hear the Liverpool online store is sold out (and many other beach-ball selling stores). I was at the game when thousands of mars bars came onto the pitch when Gazza came back to Newcastle with Spurs and I think the same thing could happen.

Serious question: Can beach balls be classed as offensive weapons if thrown onto the pitch?

realistically, none. several will try to but the second they’re inflated the stewards will take them. they took a few before the fulham v hull match tonight. imagine the amount at anfield.

that lad that put it there probably got the sh!t kicked out of him all weekend

i don’t think they’re offensive weapons. anyone who gets hurt because a beach ball hit them must be a diver worse than drogba and ronaldo combined

What happens to vacation time when you are switched to salary after working at a company for 3 years?

Posted by admin on March 31st, 2010 and filed under vacation | 4 Comments »

I live in Alberta, and I have been working at my job for 3 and a half years, and for that time I have been an hourly pay employee. I just took a vacation and got paid vacation pay, and then I was informed they were switching me to salary. I got a call from my accountant telling me that I can’t have a vacation, until September 27th, 2008 (one year from now, so a whole year without a vacation) because I have to be on salary for a year before I earn it. Is this right? Even though I’ve been there, in the same position for 3 years?
After reading a reply, I figured I would add that the last vacation I took was 5 days, and the only vacation I took this year when we are allowed 2 weeks.

If that company was your sole source of income for 3 years and they provided the tools and managed your activities and your time then you are an employee and should be treated as such. That’s a federal description from CRA.
Did your employer remit EI, CPP and income tax on your behalf?
Either way you should negotiate holidays before signing the new agreement.
According to Alberta employment standards you are eligible for 2 weeks paid vacation every year. See link below.

Where can I find cheap condo rentals in either Alabama or Georgia on the coast?

Posted by admin on March 31st, 2010 and filed under condo rentals | 1 Comment »

I’ve heard a lot of people say that they find cheap condos on the beach to rent for family vacations. I’ve searched everywhere I can think of online and I just keep coming up with places that want thousands of dollars for a week. Totally not in my budget but we would like to vacation either in Gulf Shores, AL or somewhere on the Georgia coast, we’ve heard Tybee Island is really nice. Any suggestions?

If you are willing to go on a timeshare tour, you can go almost anywhere in the world and stay for about $100 or less. They will put in a resort and try and sell you a timeshare but if you financially qualify it’s the cheapest way to go anywhere for sure.

I am interested in buying a beach rental house. What is the best way to finance approx $1M?

Is it a good idea to use the home I live ins equity towards the down payment? Or is it better to keep the 2 separate? Thanks!
I do have 20% and can easily qualify for 20% more if I add a portion of the equity from my home.

Hi Debo,
It really depends on your financial situation.

You’ll need at least 30% down, so do you have enough equity in your current home? How much equity will you have left in your home, this will effect the interest rate you qualify for.
